Doug first came to the Vikings as an under 18 player fresh from playing junior baseball with the East Hills Baseball Club. In his second year with the club he cemented a spot in the first grade side.
He later turned his hand to coaching with some success. His coaching experience has involved juniors, major league and representative levels.
