Guy came to Canterbury Bankstown Vikings at the start of the 2009/2010 season as a 16 year old fresh out of junior baseball and gained a 1st grade spot as catcher in his first year of Major League Baseball.
Prior to his Sydney Major League debut Guy was selected to the Major League Baseball Australian Academy Program where his solid and consistent performances were rewarded by receiving the Golden Glove award.
That same year saw Guy gaining selection to the Australian under-17 team which competed in Taiwan at the World Baseball Championships. The result of his polished performances led Guy to be named in the World All-Star team as the #1 ranked catcher in the world for his age group.
2010 saw Guy selected again in the NSW team – this time the NSW under-18 team.
Early February 2010 Guy signed a professional baseball contract with the Texas Rangers.
